Central Cluster Faculty Meeting Yesterday September 6,2011

Our generation needs an ENTREPRENEURIAL REVOLUTION.

I attended the faculty meeting yesterday at the AGSB l2 noon. I just learned that Col Sibal, our cluster chair has been replaced by Ms. Winnie Constantino.  Thus she called for the organizational meeting. Those who were there Dr. Carol, Dr. Rico, Dr. King, Ms. Marivic Castillo (how do I know you) Dr. George Fong (tocayo) Dr. Efren Laxamana, and Prof. Moguel.

The main agenda were the rating, faculty evaluation, and cluster project:  CEO speech sponsored by the cluster.

Some of the points raised:

l.  On the assessment:   the graduation outcomes vs. course objectives and methodology were assessed.

2.  On faculty evaluation.  The chair asked for suggestion on how she can rate the faculty members.  Her evaluation is 60% of the total faculty evaluation.  Ms. Marivic expressed her concern that when she started being objective with her grading, her rating went down.  Dr. Rico said that students would have to excuse him if he has a stiff grading system.  I said that after the Taal Vista Lodge conference where grading rubrics were taken up, ie 3.0 is just l00% performance, there were fewer students feasting on a 4.0.  Th
