Tesla loses out to BYD with its superior product, technology and low prices (as low as $10,000) per car. Even with 100% tariff BYD (Build your dreams) thei cars are still affordable.
BYD used to be a mere battery maker and supplier for other EVs. Its first foray into automobile industry is with ICE (Internal combustion engine)
This rise (they sold 3M Energy Cars in 2024) means nightmare for US automakers (Ford GM, and Stellantis are barely surviving) VW in Europe. VW is closing plants in Europe which is unprecedented. Toyotas dominance is suspect. Kia is taking on Toyota at fuel cell market.
This means also the shift of access on econ9mic dominance has shifted to the East, ending Western dominance of the car market and even other businesses.
