Will US tariff to the rest of the world good for US and the world? End of global economy?

US stock market dives on tariff announcement  Liberation day announcement.  End of free market  of WTO 

This post does not think so.   A day after the tariff announcement the US stock market made a spectacular dive not seen seen since 2020.   

Some possible results of the tariff:

1.  Higher prices for US goods, especially those that depends on subcontracting from abroad;

2.  Retaliatory tariff;

3.  Recession for US. 

4.  Global trade war.  

Trump made a mistake on this one?
