Too much pride destroyeth man

Looking forward to the future of business

GRATEFUL - “The grateful man sees so much in the world to be ...

In this post pandemic era, people are out of jobs and many are applying to have a source of livelihoods.  Many are humble enough to recognize the truth and one applicant I saw, a former Regional Sales Manager was willing to be a driver messenger.

However I came across two applicants whose egos were were beyond their head.

One whose rank was VP,  lied to HR when he followed up that he was an applicant and was my business partner.  When this office again scheduled for a meeting via Meeting, he squirmed his way out by saying  he had no internet (a lie, how could he have sent his email application)

Another  a marketing man, did not want talk to our other (also in marketing)   He was highly critical of our hiring procedures, which focused on trying to find out how he would fit into our culture.   Our hiring procedures followed INC and HBR procedures.     No wonder he said he was no longer connected with a former employer because of intrigues and other professional jealousy.  In the industry where he figures out he is good he has been there for only 3 years.  We have there for the last 37 years.

Other executive applicants take time, in test of their obedience and management ability to mail in 3 answer to questions and again were critical of the company all ready due to numerous processes they are being subjected to.   They need the jobs.  They are the applicants.   May be that is the reason why they are experiencing difficulties...
