Giving up is not an option
Looking forward to the future of business
Is giving up on your mission, vision an option?
As you grow older,, sometimes you get exasperated. You are tempted to give up. But will that work.
Several years ago, an entrepreneur with 300 or so outlets quit and decided to give a hamburger type of outlets to his employees. and decided to be an employee again as a sign of generosity and good will.
However did it work?
It did not. The 300 or so outlets failed in the absence of general management, supervision direction and system.
Sometimes you need iron hand and determined leader to guide the team to victory. Nothing short of that will work.

Discipline, Being the First to Market get companies to be great
Ateneo Professor on Entrepreneurship
Rizal Philippines
July 22, 2019
It is the contention of this post, and so with others, that discipline, cohesiveness of the organization to execute , the ability to execute first ahead of the others make for a sucdessful great company. Not technology, high IQ or DNA. Only discipline and team work of the firm,
Hence Peter Senges book on getting people to learn together (5th Disciplline , Jim Collins (Good to Great) disciplined thought, people, execution are I think some of the most practical strategy book todate. What good will a brilliant strategic plan do if we cant get the people to learn, understand what is to be done, much less to do. this.

Mr. Romme lMina's Entrep Talk at the MBA Standard Class - Athletes as Role Model
Mr Rommel Mina, guest of Mark Salvador had banking as his past experience. But is now the CEO of a company marketing lubricants. Unlike other guests, Mr. Mina lectured on basics of entrepreneurship and he has 5 advice:
1. Attitude - visioning, success and courage
2. Plan
3.Discipline on execution
4. Improve learn and improve
5. Value relationships.
Some of the athletes mentioned: Michael Phelps - who won 8 gold medals in swimming, one more than Mark Spitz who had 7. " You can't put a limit on anything..."
Lance Armstrong - who won 7 Tour de France despite having testicular cancer
Usain Bolt - A Jamaican, the fastest man on earth. He ran 9.58 l00 meter dasth, destroying the old record he set.
Athletes make superb ROLE MODELS. Because they are goal and mission oriented; so with military men.
Some quotes:
1. Start before actually doing it.
2. We are enjoying shade because someone planted a tree before (Warren Buffet)
3 People rarely succeed unless they have fun doing what they do (Dale Carnegie)
4. From a movie starred by Al Pacino " Life is won in inches..."
5. "I have often encountered violent objection from mediocre minds...."
Thank you sir Rommel who is actually a townmate from Angono, Rizal
