There are many TV shows on Entrepreneurship: Go Negosyo, Swak na Swak, and so many interviews, they could not match the content and the comprehensiveness of subjects being taught in the grad school. Some are simply lectures.
The sharing and the hands on training at the classroom cant be matched this event.
So better enroll in Grad School.

Lack of shared mission on customer service

This afternoon I just came from a well known drugstore with nationwide network of outlets. I have often noticed that one or two clerks would serve customers but the rest would group around the cashier or elsewhere and not much selling is done. The cashier is the bottleneck and so with the rest of sales clerk At that store, (this refers to the RX counter) there are 8 clerks and they are supposed to be more than enough to serve the customers 5 are doing nothing. Only 2 clerks and and 1 cashier were observed to be working.
In a fine dining restaurant (it is not supposed to be happening) there were 8 waiters all facing the cashier and not looking at the service area. Many were raising their hands. They do not prefer customer contact.
We can improve customer service.
In our company we have emphasized customer service. I hope at this moment, no one is screwing us on customer service

Roger Bootle will launch his book, "The Trouble with Europe" this May. He observes that the unification of the currency and economy is unlikely to happen because there is no commonality to speak of in terms of language or economy. The countries have varying markets, and products and can exactly copy what US is doing: serving one English speaking nation with one history and one leadership.
And yet EU struggles to set strict rules, resulting in more trouble
The currrent set up of Europe invites trouble.

I watched CNN and Al Jazeera today predicting that China will soon overtake us as the world's top economy this year. US has long since held the title after it overtook UK in 1872. But despite that, the parity of living standards will still be behind Western standards. Because, per capital wise, the large population of 1.36 bn will take the sting of that bigness
This is according to the World Bank International Comparison program.
China has contributed roughly 25% of the world's global growth since 2008
One can doubt the veracity of the data: 1. On one hand, the civil servants sometimes inflate their data so that they get promote. 2. On the other hand, there is the grey economy and many unreported revenue by vendors, in sex trade and other illegal activities. So the economy may be bigger than reported.
The rapid growth has resulted in rapid degradation of the environment including air quality, even in Beijing

There are three things that a candidate bring into the application: Passion, (he may not have this or not) Integrity, and Competence. . PIC.

Are Western Countries the Land of Opportunities and of Milk and Honey now?

Many countrymen still flock to the US embassy, bring fake titles and bank certification, lie to the consul, enter into fake marriages just to get green card and be US citizen. I have seen many families get broken and drawn by the American dream.
Lately I saw a preview in the TV that US is no longer the land of milk and honey. It is now the land of broken American dream. Many people live in poverty, there are also homeless and street people and probably squatters. And probably in greater numbers. Just like what we have in the Philippines.
With 44 million out of job and receiving SNAPS from the US Fed. (more than10% of their total population of 300 million) we expect the TV feature to be authentic.
Why still go to the US. The jobs that they have there may be exported to China or the PHL via BPO. Opportunities are in Asia and developing countries. They are in Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand. It is not even in Japan. It has very difficult situation according to IMF. It is in deep debt just like USA.
If you want to risk your career or money, according to Gerry Tee, invest where there is blood on the street. Do not invest your future in country that are stable. There is no more room for growth. So Gerry who used to work with Lucio Tan said many of his relatives opted to go to US and Canada to have stable jobs and medicare and health insurance. They went there as clerks, and retired as clerks.
He owns several businesses now.
Would you still migrate abroad.?
