The recent MVP Bossing Awards to top Entrepreneurs may have the negative effect of disheartening the rest of l million or more MSME (micro, small, medium entreprises) in PH. Indeed. But take note that most of those who were given the awards are all ready big. They were small companies before that are now BIG.
I am inclined to believe that, as many have said, the real entrepreneurs are the ones who experience the following scenaario: It is Friday afternoon, it is payday, your PDCs are falling due; your receivables have not paid their bills and your bank balance is at the minimum. How to do you solve/survive?
Thus would you not consider the micro, small and struggling entrepreneurs? Are they of lesser category than the l3 awardees? I dont think so. Take note that entrepreneurs fail 3.8 times before they can land in the success category. As they struggle, are they not entrepreneurs, as they try contributing something new to the economy and society.
