Good evening. Attached is my factors paper.
Thank you.
WHAT MAKES ME A BUSINESS ENTREPRENEUR
Business is my passion. This is a strong statement which I can defend to anyone. I'm founded with business perspective since I was a child, developed during my teenage years and have put it into practice as early as High School. I've always wanted to strive harder and bring out the best of what I can do. I take business risks as sweet challenges and I just don't settle on a couch waiting for good things to happen.
Although given this orientation I'm aware that I still have more to learn and apply. I believe that these things could not be achieved overnight but through the years of experience and practice. If I'm asked to check on that factors that makes and won't make me an entrepreneur, a lot of things came into my mind. I'm thinking of things which I haven't achieved in my age (perhaps on the perspective of my plans). To give me somehow of an idea of these factors, I took up an Online Entrepreneur Personality Test (http://www.potentielentrepreneur.ca/client/instructionsen.asp). The questions are familiar which are way back three years. It's like a de javu but I know that answers would not all be the same. It's simply because I know there are changes in how I deal with things compared before.
I've took the test in 8 minutes which consisted 50 statements. As other personality tests, I've answer each statement as honest as possible. Each statement requires me to answer as follows:
4- Totally agree
3- Somewhat agree
2- Somewhat disagree
1- Totally disagree
Going through each of the statement makes me reminded of how I was before and how I managed to overcome some of my weaknesses in the past. There are questions which I believe try to test on how I look and manage on a given situation. It has something to do with taking risks, evaluating and making necessary adjustments. Some questions make me feel that I haven't changed my perspective but still honest to goodness answers will surely help evaluate myself better.
The questionnaire comprised three major factors with its corresponding sub-factors as follows:

I chose to give my insights per batch of 10 statements (which also the number per batch of the online test). These statements in my understanding measure how a fair I am in terms of Entrepreneur outlook in life's situations. Out of the 10 statements- I find 8 of them which I totally agree while the other two lesser firm answers. I understand the who I am
today is the result of who I am before – developed and honed. I'm founded by the Bosconian teachings in my pre-elementary years through catechism and children ministry works. As I stepped into my elementary years, Dominican teachings came my way and instilled in me virtues that I will be proud to bring until old age. I've been with the care of Dominicans until my undergraduate years. I practically spent 15 years in a Dominican life. Somehow those years I believe that they have helped me face each life's trials according with might and confidence.

Looking at statements 11-20 reminded me of my favourite teacher in High school, she taught me to live life positively, aim high and be sensitive enough in dealing with others. I've witnessed how she managed to study law and graduate with honours. In fact, I found my interest in driving because she drives too. I basically want to follow her path, a path led me to be a responsible person.
I tend to take risks as they go along in pursue of excellence. Maybe because at the back of my mind, I have a whole room for improvement if I missed.

Statements 21-30, remind me of how I face on challenges that came my way. Of course, challenges do not wait until you're old enough to understand what's happening. It's just that, challenges are everywhere and so do luck (for some maybe). It's how you managed to go along and use it as a stepping stone that counts. Academically back then, I am medal wisher. I was never a salutatorian or a valedictorian in both elementary and high-school years, although I wished I had one before. This does not stop me from moving. In fact I wouldn't be contented now if I kept of reminiscing my missed dreams back then.

I would like to relate Statements 31-50 to my college years (proudly in the same school where I finished Grade School and High-school). By the way, I am silver loyalty awardee back then (for obvious reason). My classmates are mostly new as we they go to other schools to pursue their dreams. I took up Accountancy mainly to help my parents grow our hard-earned business (a small sari-sari store and a passenger jitney). Since Day 1 of my College years, I forsee myself taking up the qualifying exams, top the class and eventually pass the board exams. Relatively, I've achieved all of these. Thank you for the years of training and most especially thank you for my real-life mentors. They built the framework of who I am.

So this is it, after answering the last statement I finally got the results.
My general profile shows a score above the mean score of entrepreneurs (wow!). I'm a fairly oriented person. Of the three main factors, I scored the highest for Attitudes followed by Aptitudes and lastly by Motivation. I stopped for a while and tried to understand better the results using the sub-factors. Starting with Attitudes' sub factors, I'm confident with the results having high scores for both. In terms of perception to act upon one's destiny and being action oriented, I really see to it I know what I'm doing and I will try my best to achieve it even if its entails me a lot of hard work. This is one of the factors that make me an Entrepreneur indeed. I'm an enthusiast of something new, I wanted to try one my own things which others would just don't mind doing because it's not easy to do. I know that with the right attitude I can do things right.
On the other hand, my creativity and imagination scored the highest for the Aptitudes sub-factors. An Entrepreneur needs to be imaginative, be able to foresee what he wants the way he wants it to be. I know I possess such (although I know I need to improve further)
On the other hand, what interest me more are factors that doesn't make me a good entrepreneur. Based on the results, I scored lowest for motivation. I've realized that it's true especially now that I'm sometimes out of focus. I tend to work on so many things which in the end do not earn me a finished task. I do list down what I need to do but I'm preoccupied with some many things making it sometimes hard for me to organize my thoughts. To be a full pledged Entrepreneur requires focus and motivation. My self-sufficiency and freedom aspect requires that I need to more dependent and believe more.
I'm aware that my inter-personal skills got better than before sometimes there are still hesitations on my part. I find sometimes hard to jump into another ship without taking time to find myself a comfortable place to stay. If I wanted to be a dedicated Entrepreneur, I need to learn how to read people. Know how they will act and decide given a business situation.
Honestly, most of the time my focus is just to earn more. I keep on making some targets for myself which I find it achievable. But something is disturbing me, I must not be an earnings-centered person. I need to asttain a balance just like how the ecosystem needs balance. I feel that there is a void part somewhere in me that I need to fill. I need to know where to stop and where to work for more.
Maybe this is the reason why I'm here, studying and learning so that I my eyes can be opened for the things which can fill-up the emptiness. Learn, live and apply fully. 3.5
