San Miguel Corporation which has branched out from food business into telecom, energy and transport is studying possibility of investing into proven oilfields abroad. It is expanding its energy portfolio and a team of staff are into this study.
This was announced by its President Ramon Ang.
San Miguel Corporation has a market value of about $7 billion. (Compare this with its focussed strategy 20 years ago to be focussed on food business)
