Most of BLS statistics stands at 7+ which presents a rather low unemployment rate in the US and state of recovery.  However many argue that the unemployment rate is higher.  Some say it is a l0+ % others say it is double at 14%!   Only Americans looking for  a job, and or who live there can tell us the real score.

The US population increased by 12.4 million since December 2007 while the number of jobs only increased by 1.9 million. Those who are unemployed or not seeking employment  increased by 10. 1 million.

It is to be noted that the workforce of US vs population increased.  The ratio is 58.7% in June vs. 63% five years ago.
