What has happenned to USA our idol country - the greatest superpower and economic might in the world. The land of milk and honey.
US in the latest survey has fallen from No. 1 where would you like to be born in 1988 survey to only # 16 now. It global competitiveness, it is now #7 (So our countrymen in PHL, let us not be dismayed). US is now # 17 in transparency (corruption) index.
But it remains No. 1 in innovation.
Why? Scandanavia spends more than US does in education and health care.
But US outspends them in research and innovation.
Why are we so much concerned with US? Because we in PHL benchmarks US so much: governnment, educational system, healthcare, music, movies etc.
It is time in PHL we rethink who which to benchmark now
