The Presence of the Master Fattens the Horse

Our generation needs an ENTREPRENEURIAL REVOLUTION.

This post has something to do with being part time full time entrepreneurship, delegation, personalized hands on management, being at the workplace all the time.

Some owners and managers use the buzzword of delegation and trust in theirl lieutenants that sometimes they just stay in their office. But the presence of the owner is very impt. We delegate yes, but being there is worth a thousand words. Among the Japanese, they call it being at the Gemba - at the workplace or at the market. My Korean supplier strive to be present at all his sales call to me.

Part time or full time. I yet have to see part time business being successful. Hands on manager and business owner are better. John Gokongwei is known to sleep at least for one year with his baby businesses.

So what do you think? Being there is sometimes mistaken for micromanaging which others consider bad.

So what part time or full time? Being absentee manager?
