Water for Upland Negrenses - Social Entrepreneurship by Aike Idzenga

Our generation needs an ENTREPRENEURIAL REVOLUTION.

Aike Idzenga, a seafarer, a Dutch and of AIDFI (Alternaternative Indigenous Development Foundation) provided water for upland farmers/residents of Negros.  They use ram pumps, pumps that use the force of flowing water to create force to drive water up, without need for motors or external prime movers.  For this, the AIDFI shall receive the Ramon Magsaysay Foundation award?.  A lot of foreign social entrepreneurs are doing a lot of work for many Filipinos who do not have access to opportunity or technology to make their life easier.

I picked this up from PDI while at Sarabia Hotel in Iloilo.

Thanks Aike.  May your tribe increase.
