In the USA and even locally this industry is big: it is $3 trillion in the US, and PHP 200 billion in PHL the last time I heard. In Sept 20ll, in the USA, it was responsible for l/2 of all the jobs generated in the US; and this is despite the financial crisis. In PHL you see them everywhere: many hospitals clinics and pharmacies are sprouting up; there are a lot of graduates in nursing and and med schools; there is a shortage of medical technologists. Quite a number of would be hospital administrators are taking up MBA Health are enrolling by the droves in this GSB. Even generic drugs in US or PHL is a growing business in the industry.
