Innovation in modern warfare - Unrestricted Warfare
Looking forward to the future of business
Rizal Philippines
April 13, 2020.
The world's current relationship with China, ie the origin of CCP Covid 19, brings out the new innovation in China's conduct of relationship with the world. Unrestricted Warfare, conceived in 1999 by two Colonels at PPA. The way China conducts its affairs now with the world, with the Phl, is not only Machiavellian, two faced strategy but under the tenets enumerated in this paper. This could very well be sequel to Art of War of Sun Tzu in the modern times.
Unrestricted warfare
Using unrestricted warfare in foreign policy
Some years ago, I taught in a leading university graduate school course innovation as part of entrepreneurship course. The rule in innovation is first there is no rule.
Thus, this document could very well entitled innovation in military principles.
Due to the emergence of Covid 19 infecting more than a million, and killing more than 60,000 and bringing down the whole world to its knees (crash of stockmarket, shortage of hospital supplies, lack of vaccine) this document comes to our mind, having been mentioned in number of documents and videos, ie that this writing must have been imbibed by the civilian and military leaders in China to pursue this action.
The authors, colonels at PLA wrote this document in February 1999 and talks about use of means military and non military means to achieve a country's goal of achieving its goal (of dominating another country)
Qiao Liang and Wang Xiashou.
The document should be read by our civilian and military leaders (at National Defense College) which teaches military stragegy. While we struggling with politics, our would be master are putting one over us, for using a combination of military and non military means. (Some in the govt, by using media in battle for supremacy are employing some of the principles.)
Some of the notes/observations in document
1. War is an activity using military and non military means, using limited resources to achieve superiority over other nations
2. Might is right. Those who have more soldiers and weapons win the war
3. Use of technology in weapons: technology dictate the weapon to be used, or warfare dictate what technology to be used.
4. With technology the distinction between military and non military action becomes blurred.
5. With high technology comes the need for a variety of weapons to achieve a goal. As much as 300 weapons are needed to win a war. Sometimes the search for high tech weapon could bankrupt a country as it did to Russia (as it is doing to US where a B2 bomber cost can exceed $billions
6. There are variety of weapons to be used in todays conflict: financial, trade and ecological (like poisoning lakes and rivers/water supply) and the effects could be more devastating than a nuclear war.
7. There should be distinction between soldiers of war, and/or hackers or financiers like George Soro who can disrupt currency exchange rate, or can disrupt computer network. And a wise general/leader should be able to exploit both military and non military means to subjugate other nations... The scope and breath of war has radically changed.
8. The Desert Storm War:
Some lessons learned:
1. It was 42 day war accomplished in 38 days with Air Force taking the lead
2. The main weapon of victory were the helicopters but were not noticed after the war
3. It was achieved at great cost of $61B and was like shooting birds with golden bullets
4. The war worked because of reorganization of DOD between Powell and Schwarskopf
But the US military did not learn from it because of conflict among Airforce, Navy and Army
5. It worked because of addition and combination (of allied forces which was worked on brilliantly
by diplomats
6. War can be fought side by side with media (CNN) because it can be used as propaganda
and could change the disposition and morale of enemies
7. Powell and Schwarzkopf, although they won the Desert Storm could not be considered great
generals because they used traditional methods using high tech weapons to win the war.
They did not understand the new concept of war. Modern warfare..
9. Some recommendation:
1. Use of golden number (as in Da Vinci Code) 1:681
2. Side by side; addition
3. Cocktails (mixture of means to achieve superiority)
4. Removing boundaries: between military means and non military means, personnel and weapons.
A modem a cp, laptop could be as lethal as a nuclear bomb. Or a tomahawk.
Thus the defensive measures must cover: bio warfare
trade warfare
financial warfare
defenses vs hacking and intrusion into firewalls
aside from the military front...
Many of the Generals could be inept in adapting these methods and strategy

Facebook ad mistakes to avoid from Deepend...
Professor on Entrepreneurship
Rizal Philippines
November 3, 2019
Tips:
1. Keep it simple
1. Single campaign
2. Two adsets only
3. large audience targetted in the beginning vs. focussed smaller (because you turn off other leads
2. Not targeting strategically: (when you go to the next stage) of acquaintance
1. From what you know
2. Your research on target audience: demographics, pages they like, FB activity
3. Not trying different hooks
say 3 hooks (benefits) of the product: You never know the hooks that attract the customer (you do
not know until you try
4. Not warming up:
You have not given enough information not made the trust of buyers and appear as sleazy salesman
1. Give advice by video
2. Lead magnets to get people to read on.
1. Send
5. Too hands off, or hands on
1. Too much hands off, and get impatient monitoring ads very frequently. Increase budget to those
that work, and leave those that do not. Have 72 hours for it to work
6. Objectiveconfusion:
Determine the goal (in the ad)
1. Retarget, conversion, traffic?
2. FB has target of 50x response so that the algorithm can work..
3. In a smaller area, maximize the reach

Lead Generation by Dan Lok - Why do you need this? What is this?
Professor on Entrepreneurship
Rizal Philippines
October 20, 2019
1. What are leads? Why do you need this?
In previous lectures, leads are suspects. They are the universe of audience in the community who
can be suspects or who COULD BE POSSIBLY INTERESTED IN OUR PRODUCTS SOME
TIME. Thus they may be non customer, non prospect, and you as a marketer may ignore them
Hence we have a program to take care of this via: FOFF (Free obituaries for friends - people who
are customers
2. Why do we need them?
This is to keep the sales funnel forever operating - suspects, leads, replace the prospects who become
your buyers.
3. Example:
For every 100 people 3% are sure buyers (Class A) 7% are B, interested but maybe lacks money
or needs further conversation
30% are not interested at all.
By your ads and sales talk, or say a stadium talk, you may lose your leads:
How do you let the 30% stay in the stadium because they may be transformed from C or D
Suspects to A and B.
If you say, those who will buy the lot stay, we will lunch, then only 3 will remain the rest will leave.
Hence in lead generation, you want to a have a pool of suspects who can be prospects.
In lead generation you widen the net
Get them with opt in or learn more posts: Send them PDF, tips on things that may be
of help to them in the future. Like estate planning, staying healthy
After 3 to 5 months of being a friend and you sending them information, they may become your
friend and be a buyer too. So the rest of 30% stay and now you have a larger pool of buyers

1. Some say FB ads dont work. But it works.
It will work if you have the right PTM
Killer ad
2. 3 type of ads:
Corresponding to
1. Content marketing - lead generation acquaintance
2. Remarketing friendship
3. Offer wedding
3. Tips:
1. People dont buy products just for the products - for transformation and problems solved.
Like coffee at Starbucks. People do not buy the coffee. But drinking coffee at Starbucks make you
feel social... A transformation
2. Use social proof (also espoused by Bob in Persuasion.) Testimonials
3. Scarcity and timeline.. You gotta act now... Nothing lasts forever
4. Watch what people do when scrollling:
1. Stop the scrolling with a unique picture
2.. Then they will look at the headline
3. And then the content... - killer ad
xxxxx
1, Lead generation
1. Use yellow
2. Use emoji
3. List the bullet for the benefits that can be gained. The glimpse of transformation that triggers
questions. What are those secret?
2. Remarketing...
Exquisite event.
1. Picture of a wedding (social proof)
Headline - have you been to a wedding that does not look good. Paint the picturee
2. Problem decorating a wedding
3. How can we transform the wedding
4. Paint the picture of transformation
5. Add a line on scarcity
6. Link to something to a page - to a form, to messenger..
3. Advertising an offer... Carwash
1. Offer
Problem - you sit out car wash.
Transformation - how does it work
2. What is deadline (this week only) 20% off
Give solid reason why they should get the offer..

Getting traiffic to your blog via opt in - internet marketing
Ateneo Professor on Entrepreneurship
This is a repetition of the previous statements that in order to build an LCP, you need : a free web/blog site, a marketing software like A Weber, Chimp Mail (but this is ugly) Magic Response, Get Response which are complete platform: capturing email (opt in), template for the opt in, landing page, and template for newsletters and emails.
You must however concentrate in creating an attractive magnet to draw in those who will be your future buyers. Concentrate on making your landing page:
1. Simple
2. Attractive
3. Magnetic
4. Compelling

I had an entrep student dreaming of buying a Lambo
Ateneo Professor on Entrepreneurship
About 3 years ago, I asked at the beginning of the class an entrep student what her/secret desire was. She said she wanted to buy a Lamborghini. Well I said that was great. She could afford it. She lives in LGV, they had concrete batching plant in Quezon and was planning to put up a hospital soon.
No one should laugh at a dream. Dream big. Make your dreams come true. That is the stuff of entrepreneurship - making dreams a reality.
Here is a video of a girl who did own a lambo when she was just 22
