Why Jason Everman, a former rockstar (Nirvana) joined the US Special Forces
Ateneo Professor on Entrepreneurship
Repost from Smartbrief | July 3, 2013
Jason Everman, a former Nirvana band member, kicked out and later joined the Sound Garden, kicked out again joined the US Special Forces. He is one of the horse riding SF fighting the Talibans in Afghanistan. Why did he do it?
He said that joining hands with other soldiers defeating a common enemy, that is what you call "living" He gets higher high in combat rather than from a jampacked stadium of fans.
Wow that is patriotism at its best and leadership: protecting the peoples freedom: men and women and children from harm. That must be awakened once more during the time when people only want good life and things for themselves and make it an excuse to be be corrupt.
I admired a colleague who said something that she is not like the others in the govt who became corrupt because of the system
