Do activisits/revolutionaries achieve more than others?

Ateneo Professor on Entrepreneurship

Dr.  Manuel M Dayrit fmr Sec of Health, and Cong. Jonathan de la Cruz

It was quite remarkable that many stories shared talk about activism and having revolutionary ideas.

Some did not finish college at Ateneo because they were expelled in engaging "in disrupting class" activities.  Some were nearly expelled.  Some dropped out; and did not finish college in Ateneo.

Some of them:

Conrad de Quiros now very famous columnist of Phil Daily Inquirer dropped from Ateneo in his 4th year.

Junio Ragrario went underground, was even charged but was taken in at DOTC under Sec Dans, and now GM at PNRC.  I wish all power to turn around.

Dr. Manuel Dayrit faced a disciplinary board on his fourth (or 5th year?) for charges of stoppage of classes.  He was exonorated though.  He was our editor in chief at Pandayan, formerly Guidon.  He did live in starting at PRRM in l970 together with UE MDs. in San Leonardo NE.  (I joined him in l972 after graduation)  He finished his MD degree, and thereafter lived in Mindanao  for 8 years.  He met various revolutionaries in Mindanao.  He does not admit that he was real revolutionary.  He became a Sec of Health, and was instrumental in setting up the Leaders for Health Program of DOH and AGSB

Hon. Jonathan de la Cruz was eased out of Ateneo and transferred to UP.  Although he did not finish college, he headed BES and started the OFW program.  He is now a Representative at House of Representative representing  educators.

He mentioned that activists like him do good in the government.  Another KO from Ateneo, Diwa Gunigundo is now the deputy governor of BSP

Now what do we think, were the activists better than most of us?  Did they have more passion?
