Ruby Reunion of AdeMU Class 72 at Bayleaf Hotel in Intramuros
Ateneo Professor on Entrepreneurship
Front: Carl Stoops (the most handsome of the class then) Dean Buenviaje, I, Tony Limlengco
Last night we had the ruby reunion of AdeMU class 72. We had it BayLeaf Hotel at Victoria St. in Intramuros. The view at the Penthouse, where we held the event is fantastic: a 360 degree view of Manila Bay, Manila and Makati.
About 70 guys came: some flew in from abroad just for this event: Alex Aquino from HK (he just had angioplasty) Tenchie Bustamante (from California - the Chips Guy), Pepot Noche (from UK). There was one (I did not get his name) who had stage 2 cancer and is on chemotherapy. He had to leave early because he is under strict order to take his meds and sleep early.
Today was the distribution of the coffee table book which includes: the Aegis and the freshman yearbook. It costs P3,500 a piece. The title is "Shape of Things to Come" (also a poem?)
The class will donate P500,000 to the AdeMU as a legacy (the class was able to raise that!) through individual donations and ads (and with the book project)
Some very important persons were there:
Dean Albert Buenviaje of AGSB
Aurelio Montinola III - CEO of BPI
Nonoy Ibanez - COO of First Phil Holdings
Tony Cojuangco - Former CEO PLDT
Joven Reyes - CFO SBMA
Philip Ong - Former Marina boss
Jonathan de la Cruz - Congressman
Goody Hernandez - an official of ADB
Opap Villongco - Senior Partner of a law firm
Bobby Lavina - COO of Phinma group
Bobby Laurel - host and chief of the Lyceum group
Aurelio Montinola III - BPI CEO
There was a lot of food; entertainment was by Executive Band which include former iron lady Leny de Jesus (a guitarist and vocalist,) Tony Cojuangco (he also plays the guitar)
It was a great reunion and kudos to Mr. Goody Hernandez and Frankie Varona for their passion, steadfastness, and able leadership to get this reunion be a night to remember
This afternoon today, Dec 8, will be the general homecoming at Loyola. If the end of the world will be on Dec 2l, this is gonna be the last reunion (that is what the ticket says)
