I do not know whether from a strict point of view, working in an MLM is a entrepreneurial venture. One thing for sure, MLM is an innovation. While not new anymore, it is an entirely different way of handling receivables and logistics. While other logistic system is through a massive infrastructure, in an MLM, inventories move through the channels (the downlines) and receivables are financed through them. thus saving a lot for the manufacturers and the channel. In return the uplines are generously rewarded (the savings are passed on to the marketing channel)
One such guy was our guest last Saturday. Engr. Adrien Cuenca. While he wanted to be a mechanical engineer - he studied hard and passed the exams, he joined the business which his mother used to send them to school and feed them. It took him a while to study and learn the tricks of the trade - about a year. Right now, he earns Pl00t a month. That is big for his age, and stage of career. He is only 23, young single, and gwaping.
Last Saturday afternoon, he would fly to Hong Kong to set up a unit in HK. He said that MLM is a helping business. The downlines help you achieve your objectives, and you help them buy a car or a house. They also give you referrals to broaden your scope and downlines.
