While resting in a Petron Gasoline station at a junction in Laguna, I engaged a middle aged lady who was sitting by in a conversation. She was talking to the other guests at the station: bikers like me, motorcyclists.The gasoline station is located near a crossroad and does brisk business - of selling foodstuffs and drinks to motorbike riders.
I learned that she was diabetic and recently met an accident; a tricycle bumped her and injured her leg. The tricycle owner did not compensate her with a single cent and thus served a jail sentence.
She is also diabetic. She lives in a nearby town. She is Ms JCQ
She said that a gasoline station is not a wise investment. The real business model, revenue earner is the retail store selling drinks and food to the riders like us. The earnings in the gasoline station, accordng to her son running the gasoline station would not be enough to pay for monthly amortization of a car.
Thus those who are dreamy eyed in putting up/franchising a gasoline station, be guided accordingly with this hars brutal reality.
