All the group creative activities have a purpose: they are all practice sets in making the final paper,the business plan (which is worth 30 pts.)
l. The culinary arts exercise - the master chef. The menu is the product design and concept/ It is about designing and making the product. Without the product, there is no enterprise. So all enterprise start of there a product or service (effectuation) rather than having a need first researched first. This is also an exercise on the business concept (the first part of the business plan)
2. The illegal activity - exercise on having a wrong or unlawful business model or business activity. Also an exercise on business process, or delivery system. Also a business concept.
3. Micromarket - an exercise on determining the PTM - demographic and sociographic. Doing this further can lead to making the market estimate.
4. PDQ - is a practice set on enterprise delivery system (or strategy) Comparing to competitors and making the product unique and superior leads to strategic direction.
The exposure on the micro enterprise, the food street business makes the student aware of the hand to mouth survival mode of the entrepreneurs. They also need new ideas/innovation to improve their businesses and earn more (add value to their business). The following areas can be considered:
food safety and hygiene
efficiency
food apppearance (epicurean)
food cart design and graphics
food delivery
For instance, it was observed that in Bangkok, the buko nuts were cleaned of husks placed in crushed ice, and sold for equivalent of P45.00 (quite expensive vs the P20.00 bj sold here) The vendors wore nice shirts, clean carts. The food presentation was superb. Govt intervention?

Mikes group did a good job for the PDQ. That should encourage other groups to benchmark the fishball presentation.. Whatever was done in the class should be same thing done in the business plan.
So it is important that the group work be posted in this blog as study guide for others and succeeding classes. I am sure you also benefitted from the earlier post on this blog.
Innovation and entrepreneurship
The groups could have gone one step further, practicing the NU 12: what could be further improved on the product, the customer links/bonds, Key activities, and key resources.
In the previous classes, there were suggestion on the process say on banana Q. What would be possible improvements? Or on fishballs, or on taho? The innovations are all ready existing. Can you give examples?
