l. I think blogging keeps the internet alive. I know why bloggers are given free hosting, many links and gadgets. They keep the web alive and moving. There are so many information out there but there are guys needed to make sense categorize, classify these data. I think, the bloggers do that.
2. Many new and interesting things can come from bloggers: news, stories, ideas pictures. They could not be generated elsewhere.
3. Since there are so many, you need to be noticed:
l. Register your url with well known blogger directories. (I was so so sad to find out that my blogs do no exist in the blogsphere.
2. Register your blog with feedlinks and other aggregators. Other bloggers must be able to access your blog so that you can be mentioned by other bloggers, or get materials from your blog.
3. Use text email and sms blast to advertise your blog. Mention your blogsite as part of your email signatures.
4. Write unique and great contents so that you will be noticed.
5. Learn to use keywords and tags in you headlines, and meta tags.
