Last Wednesday, my 80+ old aunt was beaten struck on the head and bled, hogtied, and house robbed of asll valuable items. What was quite alarming was this took place some 30 meters away from the police station of this town. It sends shivers down your spine. Before, depositors of a commercial bank located 50 meters from the police station were held. Now the crime scene comes closer to the police station. It is either that: the criminals have become bolder and wiser, that the police have become lax and useless, and third...... (hmmm all sorts of speculations come in.... thats bad)
It is not my habit to talk vs. public policy or authorities, and to discount the politicians/authorities on the road to progress. We can be successful inspite the corrupt and inept officials. Progress and entrepreneurship will thrive and flourish only in an enabling environment. Peace and order, by default are preconditions to progress.. Our policde force must wake up, even at the local level must improve ..... a lot. Or even be reminded by at least five push upssss?
